Midterm Shmidterm

So every Tuesday and Thursday I tutor at Blount High School across town and I took some pictures of my boys that I work with. They are so sweet and so much fun to be with.

I also volunteer at the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home every Sunday morning and visit with a resident there, Mrs. Madrine and I do not have pictures of that yet but I will soon.

In January I am going with a group from my school to Washington D.C. for March for Life

While we are there we get to go to the D.C. Holocaust museum for free and I am so excited. This is the very same museum that they go to in Freedom Writers and I have wanted to go there ever since I saw that movie.

Spring Hill also hosts a number of study abroad programs and I am looking into  either studying in Blogna, Italy or Manchester, England. I would love to go and see everything in Europe and visit my friend Joana in Germany.

This is my Travel to-do list. Complete with all of the countries and cities that I want to visit.

It is fall break now and Bayfest is in town and we have seen concerts for B.O.B, Thompson Square, Ludacris, Blake Shelton (which was amazing), Shaggy, Duran Duran, and 3 Doors Down. Tonight we are going to see NEEDTOBREATHE, Wiz Khalifa, and Toby Keith.

Oh yeah, and school. School is great. I just finished up all of my mid terms. I am expecting high A's in all of my classes including Calculus and Logic(sorry mom). But yeah, couldn't be better.

Let the good times roll...

So to say that I have been busy would be an understatement. Spring Hill has kept me busy between classes, tutoring and crazy events.

Classes are going well. I got an A on my first paper, and A on my first still life portrait and a B on my first Calculus exam. I have also been tutoring high schoolers for the ACT at Blount High School two times a week.

In the last week I went to my first foam party, a TKE (which is a fraternity) Rave, and the freshman retreat.

Spring Hill Update

Roommate assignments are in today and I am rooming with Shelby Ray in Walsh Hall.

This is the only picture that I have of the building so far because for some reason its the only one online but I will be sure to take a ton once I get on campus.
So this is the Common Reading Project book that all freshman have to read and I am loving it. Its about Father Gregory Boyle who serves in a church in Los Angeles surrounded by projects infested with gangs and he creates a company that gets these young people off of the street and into a paying job. It is just a collection of stories that he has experienced with the different people he has met that have taught him life lessons. Its amazing. I definately recommend it, such an easy read but each different story either makes you laugh or makes you think. We will get to meet him this Fall which I am so excited about.

Move-in Day is set for August 19! Only 29 more days!
